Description

Hi!
It's my first work published on this site. It's pencil drawing. I was drawing it few long hours to take the final result. My friends joke, that it is my self-portrait :).
Original size is 21x29 cm.

Haha! That's one funny-looking bird. Great pencil work and character design!

Fantastic textures and a neat looking bird! This totally reminds me of "Where the Wild Things Are".

One thing that could quickly help this in two seconds is just to adjust the white balance in PhotoShop. It would totally help bring out your brilliant textures.

Definitely a weird little bird! My comments mostly have to do with how you scanned it; it looks like the paper is wrinkled and wavy. If you want to fix this, rescan the piece with a heavy book on top to flatten it out (and if the paper is lightweight, like printer paper, put some pieces of plain white paper between the art and the book.) Then adjust the levels in PS, so you have some pure whites and blacks.

Mad amounts of detail, I love it.

Yep, very cute and original! Great details!
Though The guys/gals above are right: the scan and white balance might use some work.

Maybe it's just me, but it has that hardly describable "Lithuanian illustrational" style to it. :)

Absolutely great pencildrawing! How could I miss this (one misses alot of good work on gfx, *sigh*)
I love the expression, look at his eye, its grreat . The detailwork is extremely beautiful. One can almost see colors tho its not colored.
I can only give you my highest point ;-)

Really interesting. I'd pull out the cast shadow, it interferes with the design. Is it influenced by any folk art? (Lithuanian?)
